Bhiamie Williamson is a Euahlayi man from north-west New South Wales. He has studied and worked with Indigenous communities throughout Australia, Canada and the United States and has a history in advising and researching in the disaster resilience sector. He has been widely published, writing about the unique impacts of disasters on Indigenous peoples. Bhiamie is a Research Fellow and Program Lead at National Indigenous Disaster Resilience at Monash University, a consultant and trainer in Indigenous governance and is a PhD candidate in Indigenous men and masculinities.
