Tsunami and living without fear

The risk of emergencies such as tsunami and volcano eruption doesn’t have communities in Hawaii feeling ‘on edge’.  The culture of living in places where natural disasters are part of the landscape is a fascinating one and may offer a refreshing and inspiring perspective for Australians as we experience more frequent and intense emergencies into the future.  Keynote speaker Cindi Preller, Director of the Pacific Tsunami Museum in Hawaii will be joining us at EMC 2024 to present on ‘living without fear’.

Drones panel discussion at EMC 2024

EMC’s panel discussions allow current topics of interest to be explored in detail by experts from a variety of viewpoints.  This year, among the hot panel topics is Drones in the EM Sector.  The use of drones in emergency management will be discussed by Craig Thompson, Victoria Police; Wayne Rigg, Fire Rescue Victoria; Liam O’Callaghan, Life Saving Victoria and Nehuen Salina, EPA.
